◇ Who we are

Defenders first. Builders second.

We are not a data company. We are security practitioners who built the platform we always wanted to use — one that thinks the way we think, refuses to ship a claim it cannot defend, and gets out of the way of the work. Built and operated in Singapore.

The founding group

Project Canine was founded by a small, deliberately quiet group of practitioners. Between them, they hold decades of operational experience across the disciplines that defensive security work actually demands — not adjacent to it, not theoretically aware of it. They have done the work, in rooms where the consequences were real.

The composition of the founding team is, intentionally, the composition of a competent defence:

Cybersecurity Practitioners — engineering rigour, threat modelling, what it actually takes to ship a defensive platform safely.
Fraud Investigators — pattern reading at scale, the instinct for what a small inconsistency is telling you.
Due-Diligence & KYC Specialists — counterparty work, the disciplines of advanced due diligence done at institutional standard.
OSINT Researchers — the craft of asking better questions of public material; the patience to read what comes back honestly.
Military Intelligence Specialists — signal discipline, source triangulation, the habit of asking what the absence of information means.
Legal Professionals — defensibility, evidentiary standards, the legal architecture under every claim the platform makes.

The bias of the team is the bias of the platform

If the platform refuses to promote an unsupported claim, that is because the people behind it refuse to. If the platform asks for two independent lenses to agree before it names a fact, that is because the analysts who designed it would not name one with less. The platform was not built around a feature roadmap. It was built around a discipline.

This is the founding bias, and we keep it close. We will not pretend to be a general-purpose data company. We are a narrow group of security practitioners who happen to have the technical chops to encode our craft into software — and who would rather ship the slower, smaller, more honest version of a thing than a fast version that misleads.
